Founded in 2001, £3m-turnover Square Pie was one of the first gourmet pie players on the high street and currently boasts five restaurants across the capital. Alongside their London sites, pop up restaurants at Excel Exhibition Centre, Glastonbury Festival and other Sporting events, a retail range is now stocked in supermarkets including Selfridges, Ocado, Tesco and Costco.

IW Capital raised funding for Square Pie through the Enterprise Investment Scheme, initially in 2013, and have a live offer for further funding in 2015. Some innovative marketing and PR stunts have led Square Pie to qualify for Cool Brands 2012 – 2014 and build up a loyal customer base. With over 127 flavours of pies, and new creations invented regularly, new markets are being tapped. A mini version – the Canapie – has been launched to target the lucrative sharing and slimming markets, and the wholesale market entered supplying Manchester United, Virgin Atlantic Upper Class, Wimbledon Lawn Tennis, Glastonbury Festival and the Olympic Stadium.

Square Pie is the market leader in fast, quality, gourmet pies and are raising funds to continue expansion and support the growth of the restaurant and non-restaurant side of the business. The next new restaurant is opening in Summer 2015 at the O2 in North Greenwich.
