IW Capital featured in the media
With the British Business Bank’s latest Small Business Markets Report recently highlighting a retreat in institutional funding for growing businesses – leaving SMEs with a damning £2.3bn funding gap – the role of nimble, engaging and flexible solutions such as IW Capital in disintermediating SME lending has never been more important.
IW Capital was recently pleased to announce its latest milestone with the launch of its first secured Debt Fund. The Fund, which will raise £4.5 million, is primarily targeted towards the high net-worth and family office market, however it is also positioned to attract investment from the wider IFA and retail investment arena.
The launch received a very warm response from the media, with Luke Davis – CEO of IW Capital – quoted extensively in IFA Magazine (https://www.ifamagazine.com/ifa/exclusive-iw-capital-expands-sme-lending-proposition-with-launch-of-its-first-secured-debt-fund ) as saying, “IW Capital has championed this shift in the industry over the course of the last decade- first through equity and EIS, then with the launch of our debt arm and now with the launch of this new secured fund. It is an incredible milestone for IW Capital, and I’m very proud of the team who have come together to make this all possible.”
This was followed by coverage across a host of finance and investment titles including GB Investor Magazine (https://www.gbinvestments.co.uk/eis/iw-capital-expands-sme-lending-proposition-launch-first-secured-debt-fund), AltFi (http://www.altfi.com/article/4484_iw-capital-launches-first-secured-debt-fund ), Business Insider (https://www.insidermedia.com/insider/national/iw-capital-outlines-proposals-for-first-secured-debt-fund) and Private Equity Wire (https://www.privateequitywire.co.uk/2018/06/01/264827/iw-capital-launches-first-secured-debt-fund ). Luke was also delighted to officially reveal IW Capital’s exclusive new research report into investor sentiment towards robo-advisers – automated investment managers that use algorithms to determine the best stocks and shares for investors – on national radio station Jazz FM. This weekend will also see the research featured in the Sunday Express, providing further findings from their report.
