Daily Dose rescues 3,824 tonnes of British produce in standout 2025
As IW Capital reflects on the outstanding achievements delivered by its portfolio companies throughout 2025, it’s pleased to highlight one such success: Daily Dose’s exceptional impact in rescuing surplus fruit and vegetables from British growers.
Building on its work in 2024, the proudly British cold-pressed juice company continued to scale its impact in 2025 through close collaboration with farmers, helping give produce a second life, reducing waste, celebrating British seasonality, and transforming ingredients into delicious, nutritious juices.

A Year of Meaningful Impact
Throughout 2025, Daily Dose demonstrated the scale of its commitment to British agriculture and sustainable food production. The company rescued 2,809 tonnes of apples, 665 tonnes of ginger, 117 tonnes of cucumbers, 94 tonnes of carrots, 70 tonnes of kale, and 69 tonnes of beetroot from British farms.
These figures represent nearly 4,000 tonnes of perfectly good produce that would otherwise have gone to waste, often simply because it failed to meet supermarkets’ aesthetic standards. For British growers facing the financial impact of unsold crops, Daily Dose provided a crucial alternative market. For consumers, the company delivered transparently sourced, nutritious juice that supported local agriculture.

The Leckford Estate Collaboration
Contributing to the 2,809 tonnes of apples rescued in 2025, Daily Dose’s collaboration with the Leckford Estate in Hampshire delivered a particularly notable outcome. The 2,800-acre farm and country estate, part of the John Lewis Partnership for over 90 years, is recognised for its regenerative farming practices and is run by a dedicated team of 100 Partners.
The 2025 apple season presented an unusual challenge. Hot weather produced a bumper crop, but limited rainfall meant much of the fruit remained smaller than standard retail specifications. As a result, a significant volume of regeneratively grown apples risked going to waste based on size alone.
Daily Dose responded by working alongside Waitrose Partners in the estate’s nine-hectare orchards, hand-picking fruit from August through to October. The collaboration resulted in a limited-edition Apple Juice made with 50% Leckford apples, which launched in Waitrose stores nationwide on 17th December.
George Hughes Davies, Founder of Daily Dose, said:
Colin Pratt, Fruit Farm Manager at the Leckford Estate, added:

The collaboration delivered multiple benefits. The Leckford Estate found a buyer for fruit that would otherwise have been lost. Daily Dose secured premium British apples for a special-edition product whilst contributing hundreds of tonnes to its annual rescue total. Waitrose customers received a limited-edition juice with compelling provenance.
By working directly with farms and responding to the realities of each season, Daily Dose continues to give British produce a second life, turning surplus crops into nutritious juices and supporting the growers behind them.
