IW Capital’s Alex Valente Petri Joins Panel at the 10th Annual Clean Technology Pitch Event

Earlier this week, Neil Foster, Partner at Brown Rudnick LLP, hosted the 10th Annual Clean Technology Pitch Event in collaboration with cleantech consulting firm NovAzure.

A decade on from the first event, this year’s milestone evening brought together 14 innovative, emerging companies active in the UK and global clean technology economy. Each business pitched to a panel of funders and investors, showcasing new ideas and technologies with the potential to shape the future of the sector.

As the transition to a low-carbon economy accelerates, clean technology continues to be one of the most dynamic and important areas of innovation. Events like this play a valuable role in connecting early-stage businesses with the investors, partners and expertise they need to scale.

The evening opened with a keynote speech from Christopher Nicholson, Managing Director of ACF Equity Research. This was followed by a panel discussion featuring IW Capital’s Investment Director, Alex Valente Petri, alongside Rupert Lee of Barclays, Jonathan Tudor, Surakat Kudehinbu of Green Angel Ventures and Andrew Aldridge of NovAzure. The panel brought together a range of perspectives from across the investment landscape, offering insight into the opportunities and challenges facing growing cleantech businesses.

The quality of this year’s pitches was exceptional, and it was exciting to see so many brilliant new technologies with the potential to transform the industry. The breadth of innovation on display reflects the strength of the UK’s clean technology ecosystem and the ambition of the entrepreneurs driving it forward.

At IW Capital, we are committed to backing ambitious UK businesses developing technologies that solve real challenges. We were delighted to take part in this milestone event and to support the next generation of clean technology innovators.

Congratulations to all the pitching companies, and thank you to Brown Rudnick and NovAzure for hosting another excellent evening.
