Lucida Medical shares early findings from real-world AI evaluation

Could AI help higher-risk prostate cancer patients reach biopsy sooner?

IW Capital portfolio company Lucida Medical has shared early findings from a real-world evaluation of its Prostate Intelligence (Pi™) technology at Musgrove Park Hospital.

The evaluation found that men with high-risk prostate MRI scans who were later diagnosed with clinically significant prostate cancer reached biopsy an average of 11 days sooner than those with lower-risk scans.

For patients at higher risk of prostate cancer, moving through the diagnostic pathway quickly matters. These early findings show how Pi™ may support clinical teams in prioritising higher-risk patients and helping them reach the next stage of diagnosis sooner.

Lucida Medical’s Pi™ technology uses AI to analyse prostate MRI scans, supporting clinical teams in the assessment and prioritisation of patients.

At IW Capital, we’re proud to back brilliant businesses developing innovative technologies that have the potential to improve patient outcomes and help shape the future of healthcare.
