Strolll brings AR-powered neurorehabilitation to Wave Active

In what has been described as a “transformative step forward”, Strolll’s augmented reality technology is being made available for the first time in the UK outside of a clinical setting. The rollout at Downs Leisure Centre in Seaford, East Sussex, introduces a new specialist health and rehabilitation suite offering accessible, community-based care.

The facility brings together physiotherapists, neuro-physiotherapists and a wider team of health practitioners, giving users access to advanced neuro-rehabilitation tools. Alongside large interactive touchscreen systems, Strolll’s augmented reality glasses support mobility, cognitive engagement and rehabilitation outcomes through immersive and interactive experiences.

Strolll is advancing neurological rehabilitation through AR-powered, prescription digital therapeutics. Designed for conditions such as Parkinson’s, stroke and multiple sclerosis, its platform enables home-based neurorehabilitation, transforming repetitive and often discouraging exercises into engaging, results-driven therapy.

By leveraging augmented reality, Strolll improves adherence to rehabilitation programmes while restoring a sense of agency and measurable progress for individuals navigating neurological conditions and physical recovery. In doing so, it is helping to make rehabilitation more practical, personalised and effective.

Dom Crowhurst, head of Wave Active Health, commented:
“By combining specialist clinical expertise with innovative neuro-rehabilitation technology, we can offer personalised, engaging and effective rehabilitation in a welcoming community setting.”

Wave Active’s approach focuses on low-impact rehabilitation, particularly suited to individuals recovering from injury, illness or surgery, as well as those returning to activity after a period of inactivity. By embedding advanced technology within a familiar leisure environment, the initiative reflects a broader shift towards preventative healthcare and active ageing.

Duncan Kerr, CEO of Wave Active, said they had helped “create a dedicated space that will support active ageing, rehabilitation and those living with long-term health conditions”.

Strolll’s role in this initiative highlights the growing importance of digital health solutions in extending rehabilitation beyond traditional clinical environments, helping to create more accessible and effective care pathways across the UK.
